I finally got some 7x15 alloy bundt rims. With Olson progressive springs, Bilsteins shocks and other new suspension parts, handling is a priority with ride noise and comfort secondary; but of course having all parameters would be great. Going to 15" rims now provides more options for performance tires. So my question is... what size tire and brand/model is recommended? Hopefully people who actually have the same size rims will be included in the group of people who respond.

Dear Danny,
I have a 1964 230SL that I modified for road racing. I use 15x7 steel rims and have made excellent experience with the following tires:
BF Goodrich g-force 205-60 15
Yokohama ADVAN A048 205-60 15 (a little bit more noisy, but excellent for dry condition)
Yokohama S-drive 205-60 15 I am not sure if this tire is available in US
Just keep in mind these tires are not for use in cold weather.
All the best
Guenter
