Title: horn rim padding

Should the material in the annular padded area of the horn rim match the interior?

No.

The center pad on the steering wheel should be black on a black steering wheel, and Ivory on a white steering wheel. The background on the center star should also match the steering wheel color. They are covered in vinyl on both Tex and leather interior cars.

My center pad vinyl had a small split in it. I was able to remove the existing vinyl and wrapped the foam in black leather. It has the exact texture the vinyl
had but looks better in my opinion.
