I have the early style blades (see the pictures) on my 280
I need to replace the rubbers. I asked SLS for some and they sent me an MB set which fit perfectly, except they are 25mm too short (305mm vs ~330).
I have had a chat with the UK MB parts whizz (Mervyn at Jacksons) who tells me that SLS sent me the correct item for the car. But a saloon had longer (330mm) blades with the same fitting but that a) the rubbers alone are nla, and b) that the arms were different, which would mean changing the whole thing
Anyone come across this issue - or find themselves with blades the wrong length?
Thanks

The part number that is the right profile but wrong length is...
A 000 824 50 27
It's about 2.5cm/ 1" too short for my 4 point wiper arms
Has anyone else come across this?
Thanks

I had 000 824 1227
Perfect fit!

I knew as soon I posted a part number, you'd come right back at me with the correct one!
Thanks, will chat with Mervyn. ;D
You well?

Mmm, curiouser and curiouser
Mervyn says that part number "is the list rubber for the current W113 srs thinner blade at 305mm."
Also says that the two types of blade fitted were BOTH 305mm. ???

Sorry, Tosh,
They're the rubber refills I just fitted and yes, they are 305mm.
Don't know what car your blades are from...
Suggestion: Go to your local factor and buy the black 14" blades from Bosch or Valeo (just checked profile). Use the rubber refills from them. Will be cheaper than the MB rubbers.
