While in Germany last September, the German "Kompressor Klub" had a board meeting at the same hotel I was staying. Some members had their cars there.

Gotta admit - really cool to see those old beasts parked in a regular parking garage, and fully in a regular space! (Not crossing the lines like many would). Figure it is a German precision thing!?

Love that they appear not be garage queens but driven. The 300SC cab (hope that's the right designation - second picture) is to me one of the most beautiful cars. Thanks for the photos. Lee

Yes, Lee, it was a Sc. I talked to the owner and he was very keen to point out that it was a Sc (Fuel Injection). Actually, I have a photo which shows the script "Einspritzmotor". I have to manipulate it a little before I can post it.

Were the cars with right hand drive English exports? I’m assuming Germany has always been left hand drive cars?

Right-hand drive Daimler-Benz vehicles would not have been universally English export vehicles. China, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary and parts of Spain and Austria drove on the left during the production life of the gray 1920's to early 1930's era touring car pictured. Even during the production life of Pagodas, Sweden did not convert to right hand traffic until 1967, followed by Iceland in 1968. Apart from the countries of the British Isles, plus Cyprus and Malta, a whole host of countries in Africa and the Caribbean and Asia-Pacific regions drove on the left (and still do!).

Thank you. I had no idea that those countries used right hand drives cars in the 20’s and 30’s. I knew that all of those countries that were part of the English commonwealth but certainly not Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and Hungary!
