Grill assembly screws
« on: January 26, 2021, 08:26:47 »
Hi all...
Are these the correct screws and assembly of the front grill? I have trouble getting the grill in and out as the nuts on the extreme left and right get in the way. It also looks like there is an extra washer being used on the star. The car goes off to the painter later this week and the dimensions are dictated buy the grill so I want to get it perfect (the nose has been damaged in the past and needs to be moved a little).
Thanks!

It’s hard to tell what is exactly going on with your grill with those pictures(locations, etc). Can you post better?  Here is a grill assembly screw kit from Authentic Classics.

Colin is after the correct screws for the cross grill members to the surround and and star connections. The Authentic Classic set is for the fitting of the grill to the body.

Unfortunately I don’t know the din of the screws needed. Alfred Esser may know.

Maybe this will help. Here is Authentic Classic’s screw list. Scroll down to “Grille”.

Thanks everyone... I think I understand how it goes together now.
Does the grill normally slot in fairly easily?
