please-help with cowl -seal-vent rubber

I cannot get this thing installed-are there any step by step instructions with pictures to show me how-I'm wearing the new seal out trying to figure which side goes where

I do not have any photos, however the seal has a top and a bottom.
I think the front edge has the thicker lip facing down , rear is facing up so when you close the vent it seals.

I remember fitting mine, checking it then using some gasket adhesive and finishing the install.

If I have a chance tomorrow I will try to take a photo for you
