Did the first test drive today after the winters gearbox change to 5 speed Getrag.
It was a delight to drive on this years first day with dry roads.
The gearbox, reduce the the rpm with 800rpm! Great improvement although the gearbox is a bit noisier at low gears then the original, I can live with that.
Now I cruise at 100km/h at 3000 rpm.
Did The Clunk busing as well during the winter, totally silent now:))
Small adjustment on the cultch slave cylinder remains, then we are ready for the spring.

Hi Lagolag,
I have also converted my 250SL auto to a 5 speed Getrag and loooving it.
By the way, what is a clunk bushing?

Clunk bushing is the rear axle long sleeve bushing on the diff house.
