Windshield gaskets . . .
« on: April 01, 2009, 19:36:29 »
I have read many times here to buy the original MB gasket, because at least some of the repros don't fit.  The price difference seems staggering, though, and making a windshield gasket isn't rocket science, so . . . .  hopefully I don't offend anyone with this, but has anyone used a repro gasket that fit ok?  And from where?  Price guesstimate?  Failing that, does anyone have the MB part number handy?  As always, many thanks!  What a great forum this is!

Thanks!

i changed my windshield because it had some wiper scratches on it-i bought a new gasket from buds-----i discoverd that the one I took off was perfectly okay------------i discovered that you don't "have" to change the gasket-i wish i would have used my old one and saved myself $100.00  I still have the old one------------these things are very thick, and just don't wear out like they say-It's a myth
