Title: Under dash electrical plug mount?
Post by: egggplant on August 15, 2008, 03:01:01
The electrical plug for the wires that go up the steering column just hangs under the dash as shown in the attached picture.  Given that the two other plugs in the same vicinity are neatly mounted on a plate, I find it hard to believe that MBZ would just leave the third plug hanging but I haven't figured out where it should be mounted.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

I believe one side of this connector is supposed to be mounted to an L-shaped plate which is bolted underneath the dash.

Hello Graham - - - In the photo you posted one can clearly see a "J" bracket just hanging there empty. I believe that is intended to be a stirrup for the large wire bundle.
