1968 280 sl starter solenoid issue
« on: February 14, 2024, 08:45:27 »
Hi all,  when starting my 1968 280 sl the car cranks but when I turn the key "off" the car keeps cranking or trying to start for about 5-10 seconds after.
Is it possible to replace just the starter solenoid or do I have to replace the whole starter?

I believe it is possible but at the price of a starter, it might not be worth it.

You need to buy a "Bosch SR59X" , just google that and buy from whoever has the best price.
