Removing front axle from swing arm. I have compressed the spring and removed the lock key but can't get the bolt out. I don't dare try to drive it out until I can get advice.
-
Which bolt?

I'm glad you understood that, because I sure couldn't. :)

Eccentric bolt

I'm sorry but you have several things kind of mixed together and I'm not sure what you're referring to. The rear axle is a swing arm type and the front axle assembly is known as a sub frame. This still doesn't tell me which eccentric bolt you speak of. If you have a better description or picture that would help.

If the eccentric bolt is stuck, it might be rusted in place. Try screwing the nut back on most of the way and then taping on the nut carefully. Badly rusted ones may require heat, or cutting.

Hi CJ,
Below some pictures. Maybe you can indicate which bolt it is.

Sorry for the confusion which even confused me after reading my post. Peter posted the Illustrated Parts List, Item 50 is my hang-up. I have removed the Tab washer for the eccentric bolt but at that point I stopped due to the fact this is an adjustment for the spindle. Do I just drive out the bolt or do I need to set the adjustment to a certain position? Once again my apology for this confusion.

Far as I remember when I took this apart it is not needed to position it in a specific position. You should be able to drive the bold out in any position.

That's the bolt with the eccentric pieces on each end. This is for adjusting camber on each front wheel so yes, position is important. I would recommend a front end alignment if you disturb the setting or replace it with new parts which is a good idea anyways.

Thanks all for the advice
