Mercedes-Benz Classic magazine, with racing Pagoda
« on: March 14, 2003, 06:54:17 »
Hi all,

I have bought today the second issue of "Mercedes-Benz Classic" magazine (english version) and it includes a really nice 13 pages article (plus the cover - see attached photo) about the racing Böhringer's 230 SL, and the Pagoda in general.

If you are interested in subscribing to this magazine (22 Euro -4 issues per year- plus postage), or to buy a single issue, they indicate the following numbers:

E-mail: mbclassic@prisma-direkt.de

Tel.: 0800 1013533

Best regards,

I subscribed a month ago, and they only charged me 22 euros including postage, but I did not receive the second issue yet. The first one looks very nice and is interesting to read - the company no doubt heavily subsidizes and supports the magazine.

Hi Rodd,

Yes!
It's a very nice publication, with high quality print, paper, photos, articles, and all. This second issue (with the plus of the Pagoda article) keeps the level of the first one. Very interesting for all fans of Mercedes-Benz classic cars. It's some kind of "official news" from MB for their "classic clients".

As Cees commented, it could not exist in such quality without the MB support.

Best regards,

I received my second copy yesterday (they ALSO sent me another one of the first edition, which they already did when I signed up, although I already received one when Peter Ruehl and I visited DC in Stuttgart to introduce our new club to them. So now I have 4 of the first issue, including one in German (the publication is published in English, and another one in German language - in the English text, there are many typos and mistakes, unfortunately). I will write the editors about our club, hopefully they will publish the information!

I received the first publication. and remember that the next will cover the 40th anniversity of the Pagoda model. I guess that second publication is the copy you received. I enjoyed the first issue and only wish there will be more technical articals to help Mercedes-Benz classic car enthusiast.
It looks like the cover picture of the Bolinger 230SL is the reproduction car the classic center reproduced. there is a nice article in the Star publication on this car with some nice pictures.
I cann't wait to see and read the next issue.
