Title: Printing Decals
Post by: TJMart on July 08, 2021, 15:44:31
I am in the process of finishing up my missing decals and am looking to see what type of transfer paper to use for the 4 pin Relay and my wiper relay. I was able to find the decals in the premium content section. For anyone that did their own printing, what transfer paper did you use and is it better to use a dry transfer paper or a wet transfer paper. Also do you have to use an ink jet printer or will a laser printer work?

Many Thanks!

Tony

Here is the method that I came up with. I had all the supplies on hand.

Others have made stamps and have made “water slide” decals.

Stamped results are not as sharp in my opinion. I think Bud’s Benz sells the water slide variety. I am not sure how they are made or cost.

Decals take extra work using clear coat to hide that it’s a decal.

Thanks!!

I didn't think of searching under "electrical" and somehow missed it in my other searches. I'll give it a go and see what happens. Just as a suggestion, maybe post this in the Technical Manual along with the topic "engineering decals" as well as where it is now? IMHO.

Thanks again!

I agree. It took me awhile to find it also. 🤪. I didn’t post it there originally but I can copy to the decal section now 👍
