I have seen a couple of pagoda where the headlight glass is flat Vs mine which are curved. Not the USA type sealed beam ones. The standard euro ones.
Which is correct and did they change over the years ?

The flat glass style was used in the halogen fixtures that had 2 separate halogen bulbs. If your fixture uses a single headlamp bulb incorporating 2 filaments (low and high) then the curved lens is the correct one.

I prefer the rounded ones anyway. They're much stronger and won't break as easily as flat glass.

Great thanks. Mine are rounded as it's a 1965/6 built car. Looks correct.
Another question. When you replace the standard bulbs for halogen brighter bulbs do you remove the silver shades that sit in front of the old bulbs or keep them in place?

Paul,
Suggest you fit LED’s, they are really twice as good as the originals and far better than halegon.

RE LED headlight bulbs, can you provide more detail, brand or model number for the bulb? Is this a direct replacement or require further modifications?
Thanks,

I don’t have the details with me, search on LED headlights, there was some discussion recently and have a read through this post here for others.

They are direct replacements depending on your current ones. Some need a tag removed by file.
