Pagodas on Film and TV
« on: October 03, 2004, 21:09:57 »
Recent sightings:

1.  Caprice-a movie with Doris Day and Edward Mulhare (remember him-the Ghost in the Ghost and Mrs. Muir).  White 113.  Car slammed on the brakes and demonstrated the famous "front end dive" for which our cars are so well known.

2. Recent clip on Fine Living channel with the home decorator lady driving down a dirt road in a red 113.

Waiting for Door in the Floor to come out on DVD-never made it to a theater near me.

Mercedes has been playing the ad "nobody poses with their toaster" that has a red 113 with the hardtop in it. Also as a side note I watched a movie called Maitresse with Gerard Depardeau and it has a great old Mercedes cabriolet they cruise around France in. The car is just incredible and the movie is real good also. I purchased it on Ebay in DVD format. I'm not sure of the model or year of the car but it looks like 50's vintage. Gerard sure has a good time in it though.
