Part identification
« on: July 29, 2003, 16:19:04 »
Hi list,

I am restoring a '69 280SL w/air cond and have been having difficulty locating or even identifying this part.  It is the rubber insulation that goes around a bracket that locates the lower radiator hose.  The bracket mounts just under the air cleaner canister floor above the right sway bar mounting.  It encircles the lower radiator hose and has a rubber insert to protect the hose.  The local dealer's micro fische doesn't list the bracket let alone the rubber insert.  I suspect that this is a part only found on air conditioned cars.  Can anyone help?

I have the parts book for the 113's, but I am traveling right now and the book is at home. If I see no help posted by Friday, I will check that. It is a fabulous resource, and is available from the MB Classic Center. I looked at K&K and they did not have the piece you show listed on the heating and cooling page. Did you try Miller's?
