Research for my diploma thesis
« on: June 28, 2023, 14:29:12 »
Dear members,

Currently, I am a graduating mechanical engineering student. For my thesis, I have chosen to survey the vintage car parts market and address any potential supply issues that may arise.
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey and share your experiences and opinions.

Thank you if you help my work by filling in the form! :)

Anyone want to put this link into a safe system or tool, to make sure it's not leading to malware or other harmful things?

I was thinking the same thing. Did not click on the link. Strange subject for a Mechanical Engineering thesis. Sounds more like a MBA/business theme to me.

The URL forms.gle is a Google Forms gateway.  Users can build forms there for collecting data.  (Somewhat like the way we can set up surveys on our site.)

Since this is a "safe" site, I decided to go there.  The form asks a series of innocuous questions about parts availability and cost for Pagodas.  I think it would take many entries to get statistically valid conclusions, but the site doesn't ask for anything private, so there's no harm in helping him out.

To be clear! This questionnaire is only required for a small part of my thesis. The bulk of the work will involve designing and manufacturing a component.
The answers will only give me a found for the topic. At the beginning of my thesis I would like to explain why I started designing a part of this kind.

Thank you for your answers so far!!

(I'm not sure how I can prove to you that the link is safe, I will listen to your advice)

Harmless to me and I completed it. Nearly any kind of malware trying to infect a Macintosh OS computer is stopped at the front gate...and even if things do get though some changes to a system that affect a system operation ALWAYS (no matter WHERE the software comes from) require acknowledgment and input from the user.

I was fighting viruses and malware daily on my PC, though never really infected, but it was a massive time sink. Once I switched to a Mac these issues completely went away.
