Does any member have a 172 Anthracite or 178 Medium metallic gray Pagoda? I'm repainting mine, and seriously leaning toward defecting from the original Papyrus White in favor of a metallic gray?
I'd sure appreciate seeing pics of any in this color to get a better idea of the visual appeal.
Thanks

I believe the ZF 5 speed that sold recently on eBay was anthracite.

I'm not sure if this is officially anthracite, but here's one

I really like the color of this car,

as I recall, this is hauser's car. Maybe he can give us the name & code.

Pete,
Hauser's car is DB728H, Beige-Gray Metallic. In my opinion one of the best colors!

I have had the pleasure of seeing both Hauser's and Rhodri's when Naj still owned it. Both are beautiful colors. What color is the interior? The anthracite looks great with red, black, or white. If you have congnac or palamino, I'd opt for the Beige-gray on Hauser's

Not sure what color this is but looks like anthracite to me. http://www.sl113.org/forums/uploaded/kemal%20shah/2007224194645_DSCF0001.JPG There's a larger pic somewhere in this groups site but I was unable to find it.
Thanks for the kind words about my car. However as an owner you're always trying to improve your vehicles performance and appearance and I'm no different.

Here's a pic of my car at the La Tera Resort in St Augustine just before driving it to the show at Word Golf Village which is where I met Ray Hays the first time.

Kemal, my car is 728H and you say your car is 728? Is there a letter that follows this three digit number? IMHO you color looked more of a met gray to me than beige-gray.

The letter is just an indication of the original supplier of the paint. Have a look at this section of the Paint Codes in the Technical Manual (http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=DataCard.PaintCodes).
Colours on a computer monitor are notoriously hard to compare... photos of the same car can look dramatically different due to lighting condition changes (overcast, sunny, different camera, polarising filters). Read my last post in this index.php?topic=2515 (http://[url)]topic[/url] for further examples.
To see how different the same car can look in different light, have a look at these three small pictures of my car:
(http://www.sl113.org/forums/uploaded/vanesp/20081295039_DSCN0458_s.jpg)(http://www.sl113.org/forums/uploaded/vanesp/20081295058_DSCN0524_s.jpg)(http://www.sl113.org/forums/uploaded/vanesp/20081295126_PICT9375_s.jpg)
(and yes, it is the same car, even though I changed headlights, removed side markers, added driving lamps etc. No colour change though!).

My Data card simply says 728.
You can view the car on the ''UK Event'' site.

Hi Eveyone
I have just bought the 5 speed zf in anthracite that you can see in the previous reply. The main reason for me being attracted to the car was indeed the colour. I feel it adds a new dimension to the aesthetics of the car, and allows you to see more definition in the lines. I must admit, after seeing other examples on this thread, the light grey interior looks spectacular too!
