Title: Clutch Master Cylinder Rod Bushing
Post by: gtait on May 01, 2023, 00:03:50
I seem to be missing the bushing that goes over the adjusting bolt that holds the rod that pushes the clutch master cylinder.
I have found the bushing at Niemoeller, (see attached picture from their website), but as it is the only thing I need, I don’t feel it makes sense to order from Germany.
Can anyone tell me what it is made of. I might try and make one.
Regards Gil

Hi Gil,
I don’t have that ring on my 67 250SL either.
I don’t think the ring is very important.

Thank you Chris,
When looking at the rod the hole seems to be wearing because of the excess play cause by the difference in size between the bolt and the rod hole.
I discovered this because the bolt loosened and fell off yesterday 45KM from my home.  I figured that if I had to do some Pagoda Yoga under the dash peddle area I might as well add the bushing.

Again thank you for your reply.

If you found the bushing on Niemoeller, then share the part number here.  I'd be surprised if it was not available by some North American resource.

The OEM number is 110 295 02 50.  I did check the North American suppliers I have used in the past, Authentic Classics, Millers, Budz. Etc. I do not have access to the Mercedes part’s website..

I do not have access to the Mercedes part’s website.
But, you do have phone numbers for the Classic Center and a local dealership.

I haven’t tried the Classic Center yet. I kind of gave up on the local dealership a while ago when I went in to get an oil filter for my 230 and they said they would have to bring it in from Germany.
