Pierre Hedary drives a 280sl and talks at length about it.     This may be posted here somewhere as it is so specific to our cars, but did not find it.

You left just in time.  The "Gilets Jaunes" (Yellow Vests) are out in huge numbers in my area today.  Car on fire, tear gas, water cannons.

Last Saturday when I first got here I walked right into the middle of a protest at Concorde... I got to see the whole thing. Every single taxi driver that I've spoken with seems to be pissed off about the carbon taxes. Being a big fan of diesel engines, I don't like the policy either. However, it must be extremely frustrating to live in a city that shuts down every Saturday.
