I want to thank all of you for the advice and guidance you have given me through my restoration. The help I have received is overwhelming and can not applaud the member of our Pagoda Group enough!
You will find pictures of the "before" and I will post pictures through the process.

If these are the "before" pictures, your car looks pretty darn nice already :) Hope you have many days of enjoyment ahead from driving one of these fabulous cars.

John,
Thank you for the compliment and the well wishes. I was very lucky to purchase a rust free car that was very original.
My engine was blowing white smoke and had some minor oil leaks and the car needed a paint job desperately. It is red metallic (571) but was previously painted very poorly. The motor was pulled and sent to Metric and body work has started!--

Now those are clearly the "before" pictures (must have missed them if you had posted them previously). A beautiful restoration indeed. Thank you for saving another one of these great cars, one that I have had a love affair with for over 50 years :)

John,
The 1st set of pics is how I bought the car and the second set (with engine removed and body work started) is where we are now.
I will post more pics as we move forward with the project

Very nice car to start with.

Were you able to salvage the firewall pad? It looked to be in reasonable shape.
-
I wish could have but it was crumbling....so we decided to remove
-
Now I understand. Sorry for the confusion on my part.

New paint, full engine rebuild, new stainless steel exhaust, new interior, updated AC, some re-chromed pieces, etc
I also want to thank all of you who have provided parts, help, advice, and guidance along the way. Many of you were instrumental in getting my car to where it is today!
