Looking for manifold screw
« on: February 25, 2011, 15:52:06 »
I'm looking for a manifold screw. None of the usual suppliers seem to have any new ones.

Does anyone know of a source?

Hi Ghenne,

What do you mean by manifold screws?
For which model do you need these screws? Do you mean screws of studs which are in the cylinder head side?
On my 280SL 1970, there are no screws but only steel/copper nuts that are fixed on studs.

Best regards.
Vincent.

I guess he is talking about the idle speed air adjustment (spring loaded) screw, in which case they are NLA.
I was looking for one this week for an M189 which uses thes same one.
I was able to get one from a used spare engine.
