Adding Air Conditioning
« on: April 24, 2023, 16:42:31 »
I am adding an aftermarket air conditioning unit to my 1966 230SL.  Can anyone suggest a condenser that will fit without interfering with the hood opening?  Thank you

Julian,
It’s important to mount it as low as possible to allow the hood to clear. I installed the Buds unit as well.

Thank you both for your thoughts, any idea how many inches lower than the radiator that I need to mount the condenser?

This is what mine looks like. But you may want to check for yourself.
Approx 6 1/2 in radiator to condenser.
