280SL Water Pump
« on: August 27, 2009, 16:39:32 »
Well, after lots of reading, internet surfing and phone calls here's the deal with Pagoda water pumps... $408 for new pumps from MB Germany (they are in warehouses here in the states). There are no more re-manufactured pumps from MB. Just new and very expensive. Not sure if Deke is still on this site but wondered if he went with the aftermarket or MB? Any thoughts from authorities on this site? Any problems using aftermarket pumps? Anyone know if there are any re-manufactured pumps available elsewhere? By the way the part number is 110 200 0220. Info. from MB Classic California. Thanks

Try K&K from the vendors listed here. I think you can get the proper pump for about 110. Be sure to change as much as you can around the pump as well (hoses, vent pipe, gaskets, therm, etc. K&K should have everything you need.

There are quite a few after market manufacturers who do this pump.

Among them, Febi Bilstein (# 11687) and Meyle ( # 013 026 9005)

Happy hunting
