This is a really nice picture. With this and the steel wheel holder, I can probably get one made. If successful, I make some more if the interest is there.

It's all easy stuff except the top bit.  I doubt that it is a one piece turning.  It would weigh a ton.

I will use a thick wall round tube with a flat disc on top to accommodate the threaded hole. I will most likely use aluminum for the part unless steel raw material is easier to come by. Figuring out the correct dimensions will still be somewhat of a challenge. I will have to play with my spare wheel in the trunk to make it right.

Hi Guys,
Even if the new stand is a little taller and thus heavier, the Fuchs mag wheel is lighter than the original steel rim.
Swings and round a-bouts, comes to mind.

Hi,
we are one step further.
My research has received friendly support from the German SL Club Pagode. Although this holder is no longer available for sale from them (from their own reproduction campaign some years ago), we are offered to take photos of a member who has one and take measurements in order to manufacture our own replicas if necessary.
I would like to do that myself, but this member lives a few kilometers away in the Duisburg area.
So it would be nice if a member of Pagodentreff could be found there who lives in this area and can take on this task.
We will see!
