This car came up on eBay well over a year ago and at that time they were asking very big dollars for it.  Will be interesting to see if it sells this time.

We may end up doing the same thing to our cars if we hang on to them long enough, for now not hearing the engine/exhaust sound doesn't feel right in a sports car.

That is a LOT of battery weight to lug around. 

I saw a Top Gear feature where James May drove a Honda Clarity.  It's the production Hydrogen fuel cell car on sale in California.  Jay Leno had an inteteresting comment.  He called it the car that will save our classic cars.  If we can convert to Hydrogen power for new cars, the demand for petrol can decrease so that there will be petrol left to run our old classics.  The fuel cells are now so crash protected that the hydrogen isn't a "bomb" and the exhaust is H2O.  Apparently the performance is acceptable and it fits into our lifestyle of 270 miles between fill-ups.  I hope they pan out.
