Good luck with the sale Colin, what a worthwhile cause. FYI, I believe that the pic you show of a leak is the fuel pump/filter housing? In the U.S. Mercedes covers leaks for W211 cars under a recall. Not sure if yours is covered but it is worth a check?

The car was built in 1998 so no recalls.
The leak you think you see is just spilt washer fluid.

I'm well aware that with ebay sales, it's not over until the fat lady sings but for the higher bidder on a charity auction to not go through with his purchase is shabby to say the least......

Stick posted on Facebook that the indevidual that was the highest bidder never showed up to collect the car nor is answering his phone calls.
What a shame that is the things people do! Unbelievable at a Charity Auction yet!
