Why not rebuilding yours? This way you know what you get?

I recently used Sun Valley Mercedes Transmissions in Pacoima, Ca (818)782-2300, to rebuild the  original automatic transmission on my '71 280SL.
They are renowned for their expertise. My mechanic in Palm Desert removed it, sent it to them, they fully rebuilt it and sent it back for reinstallation.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just pulled uptake link. They did not have any info for the 280 SL's (price), so I'll check with them.
