Title: search for parts, gaskets?
Post by: dirkbalter on May 02, 2021, 20:49:14
All,
I am missing and I am on the search for item #172 on the brake booster assembly and item # 8 on the pedal assy. (see pics) My assumption is that these are just gaskets. Can someone confirm  this or correct me?

Thank you very much

# 172 is a gasket, PN A 113 431 03 80, used as of chassis  044 006619. Not on part list before that chassis.
# 15 is a gasket too, PN A 113 431 03 80 (same), used as of chassis as above.

Not defined availability at MB.

Pawel,
Great, thank you.
I couldn't find the part #'s in my parts book or online.
(Gaskets, I can make myself.)

Obviously overstated, but nice, thanks!

the gaskets are a black rubberized cloth.  very thin.  The closest thing I can think of is trucker's tarp material.  I would use a thin sheet of nitrile.  1/16" or so. Since the central hole already has a rubber seal sealing the rod I would imagine the function of the black rubber is either to prevent squeaks if there is any movement between the pedal/ booster assembly and the firewall or to add "Grip" to prevent movement.
