I would dearly love to replace my kinder seat with the normal rear tray. Is there a kit? I don't really know what to replace the thing with.

It's a simple bolt-in of the two-piece carpeted parcel shelf in the rear (original equipment even in cars ordered with the transverse seat, incidentally).
The only issue is you'll have a hole by the backrest, but since you're planning to re-do the interior, that shouldn't be an issue.

My Kinder Seat clips right in at the metal floor, next to the drive line tunnel. It does not appear that a "Parcel Shelf" was ever a part of the vehicle. Is this Parcel Shelf something I can acquire? My dealer does not know what it is.

The two halves of the parcel shelf are made up of marine grade plywood, covered with carpet. If you can borrow a pair from someone near you, any halfway competent carpenter could make you up a set in short order, then all you would need is the hardware - a couple of clips a couple of brackets and a pair of special knurled knobs to hold them in place!

Hi Chuck,
If you can join us for the May 3 Weekend in Gold Country you will have lots of Pagodas with parcel shelves to check out! Also there is a junk yard on Leo Ave, off Senter Rd. that has 1 SL. But I can't remember if it has the parcel shelves.

I know, I know...
That's why I threw in the suggestion for the junk yard

Thanks for the tip on the junkyard Pete, I ran out there this morning. Unfortunately he sold the entire car to someone who wants to rebuild it. So... I'm still looking.
