Fuel Injection Pump Oil Leak
« on: April 08, 2024, 11:47:04 »
Hello all.  Since I rebuilt the engine on this car (1966 230SL), it has had a small oil leak on the floor of the garage and certainly appears to be coming from the FIP.  I check the level in the pump itself and it appears to remain unchanged though.  I think I have seen seal/gasket kits for the FIP and I thought I might refresh all of those to eliminate the FIP itself as a source.  Does anyone know the kit number and provider?  And can this be done with the pump in the car?

Thanks,
Harry

BTW - it appears as though the leak may be coming from the area around where the throttle linkage attaches to the splined shaft coming out of the FIP.
