Nice find Jonny! Thanks for sharing.

The car looks like mine, except for the steering wheel and it looks like a Euro car from the back anyway, with the Automatic below the 280 SL. I do like the steering wheel. If I am not mistaking it has the same colour code as mine (903 H).

That is a nice Nardi wheel.  The more common one had split wood rivited to the aluminum wheel rim.  I seem to remember the wood was not butted to the aluminum and the varnish came off quickly and to me, wrecked the poliSH AND SHINE OF THE OTHERWISE ELIGANT INTERIOR.  Typically, I saw the common Nardi was used as a less expensive alternative to a broken horn ring or cracked stock wheel.  They were only about $120 in the early 70's.  If I remembber correctly.  This one looks more like a good attempt at adding a sporty personnal touch. JMO.
