Thanks for sharing.
Perhaps, they can 3D print a brand new 280SL Pagoda shell. Now that would be also something worthwhile as its parts!

An outfit (HRE Wheels - very, very high end stuff) here in SoCal team with GE to 3D print a set of titanium wheels.
Not the prettiest you may have seen, but still awesome -

Here is a link to the official MB info on 3D part printing:
https://media.daimler.com/marsMediaSite/en/instance/ko/Future-meets-Classic-Next-generation-of-genuine-Mercedes-Benz-replacement-parts-from-the-3D-printer.xhtml?oid=41898228
https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/classic/classic-service-parts/next-generation-mercedes-benz-replacement-parts-from-3d-printer/
The number of parts made that way is still very small; I had hoped that after one year there would be lots more.

Sort of makes me think 3D printing will have the same effect on low volume manufacturing as the internet did for information world wide. 3D printing is great if you are the end user, but potentially perilous if you are a niche manufacturer.
