In my tool kit I have 4 open end wrenches
8-10 Matador
11-13 Matador
14-17 Heyco with Star
17-19 Matador
Are these sizes correct and did I originally have all Matador?
I have looked for information but have not seen an answer
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it

This is from our tech manual - lots of good info on tools.

The sizes of the wrenches:
19/17, 17/14, 13/11, and 10/8.
Before 1965, there was no size 13, so 14/11 instead.
In general, all four wrenches were from the same manufacturer.
Matador, Dowidat or Heyco. There can be variations, however

Thank you for the information and answering my question. Also thank you both for the previous past and link to the manual.
I enjoyed reading them. I am still having difficulty navigating through all this wonderful information.
Cheers

At some point MB used 14 mm on their 8 mm nuts. Probably why their wrench sets were also only 14 mm up to 1965. It could have been a cost saving directive to go to 13 mm instead.

The change from 14mm to 13mm key width on the M8 nuts and bolt heads was an Industry wide change (DIN Metric specification).
Allowed some size reduction of designs, and in a large machine brought with it some weight reduction as well.
