Vacumn line location
« on: October 05, 2023, 21:18:17 »
Hello to everyone.
It's been a while, I'm back for some much needed help.
1064 230 SL:
Just re installed the head after sending out to get re built.
Stared no problem, still have to make adjustments for idle, timing etc. My problem is I can't remember or find where the vacuum line from the distributor goes. Can anyone help?
I tried adding a picture but was not successful.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

It goes from the distributor to the throttle body. Somewhere in the area of the flap pivot point. You should see a small tube sticking out to connect the line.

Jim,

You're a Full Member so you have Tech Manual access, so here's a ton of Distributor info if you need it for timing/tuning.  https://www.sl113.org/wiki/Electrical/Distributor  Amazingly, I didn't see in there the answer to your question!  Dirk has it right.

Thank You, I did print a lot of that info out, just haven't gotten to implementing it yet. Thanks for your input.
