Title: rear shock plate and rubber buffer
Post by: swood1 on January 06, 2019, 20:23:10
Hi all,

I have just removed one of the small plates just infront of my rear shock tower underneath the car, it was very perished.  I cannot find it on the SLS website, trying to understand what the compostion of the assembly is supposed to be.  The metal plate itself is in okay condition but behind it was what looked like crumbling plastic.

Can anyone advise on this for me please?

Also, I applied heat to get the bolts to come out but to no joy so shall have to replace these.  I believe they are bolted straight into the BIW is this correct?

Regards

Steven

Thanks for this,

Bolts (or remnants of them), have now been removed.  I used a little heat and some good mole grips...
