All this chat about The pagodentreff 2014 calendar; I think it has some good pics in it, and in my view some quite mundane ones. I'm going to put together - at some point - a 20?? calendar of what in my view are the all time great pagoda pics (its just for me, so what the hell...).
Anyway, one of the most memorable 113 shots I have seen is probably a 60s/70s shot of the interior of the car with a pretty young under-clad-in-the-nether-regions lass climbing out of a car and revealing more than a chap might hope for. (if by now you don't know what I mean, you haven't seen the photo and so can't help). Anyway, my question is, where is that photo? I know it's on the site but despite searching high and low I cannot find it.
Any pointers gratefully received. And an early Christmas pressie for those who haven't seen it!
Thanks.
-
I know the one James and think I saved it or sent it somewhere! I'm back to work on Friday so will try and find it
Neil
-
Neil,
Thanks! I've received a few pics by email. I can post a selection of the best.
Looking forward to seeing the pic.
Best,
James
-
Thanks, Neil, indeed it is. A lovely shot of her instrument cluster.
I think this is a fantastic picture. I wonder what it's genesis might be or when it was taken. Do you know any more about it?
-
no James, nothing like that happens in my car unfortunately!, I too saw it on the forum somewhere
you now need another 11 similar for your calendar, any in mind?
Neil
-
Niel,
I have a close one for James he can use in his calendar (I can only show a section of the pic here ... I don't want to get folks angry at this dirty old man here) ~grin~
James, I will e-mail you the complete picture, sorry it's a 190 SL I think, still a nice one (bet we can find some 300 SL pictures as well). Anyway, if you do generate a calender put me down as a customer, heck we can still look can we now ~smile~
-
Depressingly, it appears you are right.
Great pics.
-
that's 4 months sewn up James!
Neil
-
Here's a less flamboyant one. Anyone recognise the two people and the context?
-
Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn from 'Two for the road'
Re those other pictures, apparently if you look really hard there is a 190SL not a Pagoda ???
-
Larry for the win! Good spotting. If there is a better picture of Audrey and the Pagoda from that movie, it would make for a civilized calendar cover ...
-
One more for your collection, perhaps the cover photo :)
-
Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn from 'Two for the road'
Which can be found here on our site: http://www.sl113.org/FilmExcerpts.html
-
Peter ... Thank You ... for bringing back (by pointing us to the clips) nice memories from great movies!
-
There you go Guy, finally found my mechanic to look after my needs ... got her number! ~grin~
Okay we have 7 photos now, only 5 to go for that 2015 Calendar.
-
A few more pics...
Artur

...
-
Ok. Stop. Should be enough... ;)
Artur

And you can't forget the beauty in the topic entitled: "Pagoda in Viva magazine Polish September edition".
I'd send a link but I don't know how.
She was a real stunner.
-
You're right - Anna Mucha is amazing woman...
Artur
-
Ian here is the link ... (simply copy and paste it here)

Gentlemen
This is the hottest topic of the last days. If we continue this way, not only will we break the record of posts about one topic per day, but we also would get the label of the most chauvinistic forums ;D ;D ;D
BTW:
1. most pictures are really artistic and there is nothing to complain about, I must admit
2. By posting his collection, Artur doubled the number of his posts. Congrats :D
-
OK. this is too make sure I do not stand out from the general mood :)
May I repost one pic that I have already put elsewhere on the forum. I hope it makes its way to the calendar...
-
And a very Happy New Year to you Stan.
Nice car I think :-[ :-\ :)
-
I did notice an extraordinarily large number of new photographs appearing in the daily backup....
-
I did notice an extraordinarily large number of new photographs appearing in the daily backup....
Peter,
Some of these pictures may even contain a relation, as remote as it can be, to Mercedes W113 commonly called Pagoda...
BTW
I bet that individual back-up storage systems have been also filled recently with the said pictures to create very private collections... :D
OK One more, but this time exceptionally decent....
-
I looked to all the nice photos on this topict. I found out that there were on almost all some nice young women. Have anybody alse noticed this as well? Or am I biased?
Rudy

Rudy
Some are skanks.
-
At the point of reading John's subjective response to Rudy's subjective post, I realised that this thread had been read 666 times.
So maybe John has a point...
-
John
I would expect that you expand on this essential question. Be more specific, give arguments and provide well documented sources. Wikipedia is obviously not accepted... :)
-
But, 190 SLs can skank it up a bit too...
-
And, then a more historical perspective with Rosemarie Nitribitt...
Look her up to learn the story.
Ah no, John.
She is not Rosemarie Nitribitt. RN was a blonde and owned a black (DB 040) 190 SL, not a white or off-white.
Further, she did not post herself nude ... this was not so common in the 50ies in DE (but more from the 60ies onwards).
Enclosed is a pic of the real Rosemarie Nitribitt with her 190 SL.
She was later murdered and her car is missed today.
Here is her story:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitribitt
and not just as detailled:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosemarie_Nitribitt
and here:
http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http://www.express.de/image/view/2008/1/9/650016,122191,highRes,maxh,480,maxw,480,Rosemarie%2BNitribitt.%2BDer%2BMord%2Ban%2Bder%2Bbekanntesten%2BHure%2BDeutschland%2B%2525282569570741%252529.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.express.de/duesseldorf/rosemarie-nitribitt-lagerfeld-fuhr-ihr-traumauto-kaputt,2858,650014.html&h=361&w=480&sz=16&tbnid=W8UPIcygQCzZaM:&tbnh=114&tbnw=152&zoom=1&usg=__jOClZqFPXkmuQfAwMrw-AGJ_BV0=&docid=9ZldG0FOzOgkJM&sa=X&ei=wuLGUoj1E8fMywPQ-oDgAg&sqi=2&ved=0CDQQ9QEwAQ&dur=1567
(please help yourself with the google translator please)
I cannot confirm whether the second half regarding Karl Lagerfeld and RN's 190 SL is true or not ...
RN caused a hard time to the Daimler officials since her ownership put a kind of "taste" or bad reputation onto the 190 SL in general; something that Mercedes tried hardly to shake off from their overall SL image during the later 121042 production years.
This "taste" was only over when the successor of the 190 SL was introduced in 1963 ....
Achim
(not only because of this "story" above, he likes the 190 successor much more)
-
I stand corrected, I don't know what made me think that picture in the files was her. Thanks!
-
Another vintage beauty.... oops, speaking about the car.... naturally :)
-
Should this thread be restricted to "full members" it may convince some of the basic members to convert their memberships to "Full" ... seems to be getting more attention than Linkage Tour ... or Starting Tour ... ;D
-
Nah ... since there are no tools required of any kind not to speak of technical assitance needed to solve any issues ... I think it is well placed right here where it is in Way off Topic :)
Eric ... nah I would not wish for that ... to go back nah to all them issues no way.
-
Eric,
This is the fastest developing thread on the forum. I think that it may attract rather than detract...
Here is one that goes together with one already placed before...
The attached picture should actually be placed in the Tech Manual as it illustrates how to change the curtesy light's bulb under the dash board
-
I find that the fresh spirit that animated the posts of this thread is somewhat weaker, so here is some new fire
One of the previous posts showed a young lady with 190SL. Here she is in two other poses...
-
Stan, looks like we have enough photos now to even produce the 2016, 2017 careeners also ... still keep on looking ... what do they say if we stop looking it's all over :) so go find some more ;D
-
R-D
Hoipe that you dont mean that what is left for us is just looking... ;D
-
I know that the original poster was looking for a certain Pagoda picture but it seems that there are other photos of Mercedes Benz automobiles located in this thread (I think). So in keeping up the Mercedes theme I offer this photo to those that might be interested:

Yes indeed, after some thorough attempts and with serious dedication, one can realise that theses pictures ALSO show cars ;D
-
I was so thrilled by the view of the Canadian Fridge picture in the "Polar Vortex" thread that I thought that a series of photographs with warming up effect would somehow help our frozen members in Canada and upper US states to traverse this cold experience . Let's try... Hope it helps.

Is the escutcheon missing from the door lock?

I think the phrase is, "nice legs, shame about the boat race." At least that's how our Cockney friends might put it.
Plus, I'm never too comfortable about having anything draped across my bonnet - hood if you must - no matter how attractive.
-
We kind of either laugh or ogle at the suggestive or racy photos here, but at the real auto shows, at least in the USA and specifically the Detroit show http://www.naias.com/ most of the automaker's booths are staffed by a group of models, youngish men and women. The women are not much different in dress and appearance than some of the photos showing here, but what you probably didn't know is that they are (not fooling here) all highly skilled and knowledgable about the products they stand before. There's one primary agency that handles this hired talent and there's a lot of training involved. When at the media days this past week with the editor of The Star magazine, we stopped and quizzed a couple and sure enough they had the brains to match the beauty; they most definitely knew what they were talking about. The name of the agency that hires and trains these is called Productions Plus. http://www.productions-plus.com Many of the models, also known as "Sirens of Chrome" travel the show circuit…so it's not a full time job but pretty significant employment.
-
"Plus, I'm never too comfortable about having anything draped across my bonnet - hood if you must - no matter how attractive."

I would not discard the interesting perspective that the driver of this W100 would have in such a setting.
Obviously, for such a sophisticated car I would expect the driver to also have a synthetic view display above the "main scene" ;D
-
I wondered where my first wife ended up! :D
-
Hey wait a minute - - - I think that first black and white IS MY WIFE!
Damn, now I know what she is up to when she asks if she can borrow my car for the afternoon. . . . .
Larry in CA
-
Larry,
In that chapter, she can be everybody's wife ;D ;D ;D
-
I think I was the guilty party o in posting the pic James was after
;D
-
here is a gentle one... at last
this lady nicely smiles to us in MB promotional materials.
Maybe on her righ there is a guy driving a W100 Landauet and she is doing some self-promotion?
-
I posted this about 8-9 years ago (The black and white posted by Griffin 1404 on the first page of the thread). My question was; is this a 230sl or a 250sl. The then current moderator removed the post.
Gus
-
Gus,
One cannot blame the moderator. I am sure that he couldn't believe that you would ask such questions. You were probably the only one noticing the car... so ... ;D
-

Are you talking about Neill's reply #3 from 27 Dec 2013 ??
Where s.o. is blocking the view to the beautiful center star of the ivory colored steering wheel's hubpad?
Hard to tell for sure whether that is a 230 SL or an 250 SL (up to serial no. 002979).
The pad on the window crank is black ... that should indicate a 230 SL (up to serial 012466)... :o
... if original and not replaced ... ;) ;D
IMHO ....
Achim
-
Those hubcaps were not on 230s or early 230s. Not sure about later 250s. Or, it could be a Euro 280
-
Where's a moderator when you need one?
Stop cluttering up this thread with nonsense about cars, model-years and hub caps! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
The internet is already full of this sort of thing. It's just disgusting and baseless and demeaning. I, for one, don't want any part of a club that tolerates or promotes this sort of behavior. >:(
Now, where were we... :P
-
Mr James Howard reminds me on:
One day Groucho Marx visits a club. This club was very pleased and offered him membership. He answered: "If this club accepts strange people like me as members, I don't want to be part of this club."
;-)
-
Mr. James,
I must admit that while I was always devastated by your posts and positions, opinions and views in general, BUT I could agree more with your last one ;D
And to praise your demonstration of a broad-minded attitude, here is one more...
-
Don't think we've seen this one yet?
-
Or this one
Correction:this is actually an earlier contribution to this 'tour'
-
Cees,
Great picture ... I'm saving that one on my iPhone so I can tell the wife "See what nice people I meet if you don't come along on my Pagoda trips" :)
I know the exterior color is not exactly blue like my car (sorry Mr. James bringing the car into this) then on the iPhone the picture is much smaller and she (my wife) will not be able to tell the difference :D
-
I discern that Mr Howard's subtle humor was missed by most responders.
-
Gentlemen,
1. Cees. how could you miss the mass contribution from Artur that posted this very same photo (and several others) earlier on in this thread? OK, it was last year (31st Dec ;D), but I am amazed that you did not pay acute attention to this gallery by studying every and each of the pictures and by downloading them into your private collection like everybody ??? ;D
2. Same goes to R-D.... ;D. But the way, I have a different message in mind while looking at this picture: which is that if needed, even in its basic version, Pagoda can be more than a 2-seater.
3. Richard S: I think that Mr James's subtle humour wasn't missed, but - at least in my case = the response probably hasn't demonstrated it enough. I apologise, but pliz forgif moi, moi be bladi furner. ;)
-
Letting a girl sit on an aluminium bonnet is not a good idea....
Prince Charles went " off it " with Diana back in 87 when she dented his beloved Aston .
-
that had to be a very peculiar way of seating, as the scratch is on the side. Go figure? Would it be the British way of doing such things? ;D
-
No ...the dent was on the hood (bonnet).
I remember him telling me all about at the time, he was livid !!! Lol
-
Gentlemen,
Normally I am the person who tells you to scale down your photographs. This time, I would like to say that you should use at least a 1200x800 resolution picture when posting, preferably larger.
Otherwise it's just a waste of space...
;D
-
Peter,
I wish I could source those photos in better resolution, but except for a few, most are just of unacceptable quality. I wouldn't say it is a waste of space, but rather a waste of our high expectations :D A possible solution would be to run a competition where each Member would be deemed contribute a photo of the kind with their own Pagoda :D
Dave,
OK I got that. I suppose this happens when you wear strings made of unpolished steel. Then I wonder how Lady Tatcher's car looked like, since she was called Iron Lady ;D
-
just to keep it going here is another .... :) Peter as close to 1,200 x 800 as I could get
Bet the fellow taking the picture does not know what he is doing (hood issue I mean of course).
Stan, I do have a few favorates not telling what they are :)
-
R-D
Don't be shy, express yourself and share your feelings ;D
so you have a richer choice, here is another one, also in higher resolution
You can see here a very rare safety customised device, optional on MB 300SL that protects the head of your SO while entering or leaving a Gullwing ;D
-
She can leave just the hat on?
-
one has to take the burden to keep this thread live. despite the risk of displeasing Peter for the lack of sufficient number of pixels...
-
Now that's what I call a back seat driver :D
-
to start well the new week..
BTW, did you notice? There is something wrong with the car... what are the flaws?
-
Hood emblem.
But she's lovely.
-
James,
Good catch, you did 50% of the list
there is also one more thing
-
Over riders? Mind you it took a while to find the car. I have to say Stan I always look forward to seeing what you have posted for this thread. I don't know where you get the pictures but they are always a treat.
-
The whole front bumper seems wrong? On the car I mean.
-
I agree the bumper seems odd, and the license plate is either not an actual California plate or has been photoshopped onto the car. The shape is wrong ... it is too horizontal.
-
The plate is not a stock CA plate for sure. Also the hood bulge looks weird in the 2nd photo. Seeing all the lovely ladies spread out all over those nice soft aluminum surfaces sure makes one ponder if the car's owners were around when these photoshoots occurred.
John
-

Jordan, Stan would have an easier time finding good shots if our car was an American made :) then none of us want's that of course. Then who cares about the cars when 75 ladies like this embrace the car ... there is one photo that might pass as a Pagoda ... where the lady can be found in the trunk ... might she be searcing for rust? BTW I've been ordering from the web and insist on UPS delivery in the hope the lady as seen in one of the photos might be assigned to our route ... naturally no such luck ... all I get is some grumpy fellow that asks me ... "Sign here"
This way to 75 of the best as they claim ... ----> http://bangshift.com/gallery/75-best-photos-of-girls-with-cars-gallery.html
Ever notice no Mercedes in those pictures ... here and then a VW or a BMW, no Mercedes what a shame.
-
To all keen watchers:
Yes, the second flaw was the entire bumper. I did not mean the plate, as in many states you can choose to affix or not what you want (or almost... I think that affixing your mother in law is mostly prohibited)
Jordan
Thanks. But humbly, I am one of many contributors here and am sure that files in several computers are full of interesting shots. In any case, stay tuned. I still have some left :)
R-D
The exclusive side of this post as well as the difficulty consist in finding the Pictures where after detailed and painful examination some Mercedes car can be discovered. But why don't you start the thread in Other Cars category? :)
BTW. I think that we would contribute better if one day, instead of reproducing pictures of other photographers, we would post some artwork of the kind taken by ourselves (please notice I didn't say: pictures showing ourselves ;D)
-
Wow,
This thread is one for the ages.
Rolf-Dieter, I liked your 75 best link. I especially liked the Woodies. ;D
MFM
-
Nah Stan, you are doing a great job, let's leave it at that ... ;)
-
R-D
Especially for you some vintage souvenirs ;)
Maybe other Members have better pics of that or even original copies?
the first one is an ad from Playboy early 1970
the second is the cover from June 1960
-
since the thread became a bit sleepy, the pic is in the same mood
-
This photo was taken by elmer Batters, and on the seats backrest is hand written all in caps first line: TO BENEDICT second line: BEST REGARDS and is signed E Batters
I have it on the inside double page and on the back cover of a book by TASCHEN, titled in french 1000 dessous histoire de la lingerie (1000 undies; the story of lingerie) ISBN, for those interested is:978-3-8365-0507-9
Book came out in 2010, so should be available through your local bookstore.
The photo is taken in a automatic 230Sl, with what seems to be a total of 402 km. on the speedo.
Something strange is happening in the photo, as the transmission stick seems to have disappeared and there seems to be two ashtrays one in front of the other.
Besides that photo, the whole book is interesting!
Best regards,
JP

R-D
Maybe other Members have better pics of that or even original copies?
Not sure if this counts but I have two poster size copies of that ad. The one in the attached photo is not in the best of shape and is up on a wall in my garage but the other is still rolled in a cardboard tube and like new. Sure wish I grabbed a few more of those back in '70:-).
John
-
I have an original one of those ads. Beautiful colors.
-
John and Cees,
you are diverting the thread from its original focus... In my opinion you should now compensate for your ill-purposed acts by contributing at least one pic each of the kind that was originally requested ;D
-
Yes Stan, you're absolutely correct. This weekend, when we're at the house in France where the Pagoda is, I will take a picture of my wife + the car ...
-
Cees,
very brave idea, especially if you tell your wife where you plan to post the picture :D
Having said that, please pass my regards to your better half...
-
I did tell her, and showed her the thread. She's really looking forward to it.
-
OK,
Cees... you create a momentum....
Meantime, let me show that Pagodas look good even if some unscrupulous lady is turning her bare behind in their direction...
-
Neil,
This add is a fake one, but... do I really care? ;D
-
here is the Real Stuff:
Two beauties in black in (in B&W actually :))
-
Yes, the word "preowed" sort of gives it away!
-
Yes, the word "preowned" sort of gives it away!
Brian,
All you have in mind is the car, I suppose?
-
Brilliant.
And as for "pre owed," it may make more sense than you think.... ::)
-
I must say that this lady has a rather glossy look ;)
Liked the film, but prefer her without this... device
-
My contribution for this wet rainy and snowy day here in Eastern Canada ... would you believe we had a thundersturm this evening? 9C today and rain 3 feet of snow on my lawn ??? what next .... waiting for spring so I can ask nice ladies to stand by my car so I can photograph them and add photos here :) now thats something to look forward to ... :)
For those of you that are wondering what is written in the upper left hand corner I shall translate it for you ...
German ... Die Pagode ist ein raffiniertes Doppelwesen. Sportlich und luxuriös, Coupé und Cabriolet, komfortabel und schnell. Ihre kleinen Schwächen unterstreichen ihre große Klasse.
English ... The Pagoda is a sophisticated dual nature Automobile. Sporty and luxurious, coupe and convertible, comfortable and fast. Some little weaknesses underline their great class.
-
R-D
I thought that it was referring to this lady as Doppelwesen. It would be interesting too :)
-
This just taken, Mrs Klumper, the Pagoda in France:
-
Nice Cees, Anneke hasn't changed a bit...
-
Cees,
You (or more accurately the photo you posted) left me speechless.
First: you delivered on promises - a rare quality nowadays...
Second: I would not allow myself to comment on the main subject, but in case of any doubt please read the first line again ;)
Last but not least: I trust that there is some more Pagoda to the right and what the photo shows of your car isn't a mere left over of your Pagoda!
Conclusion: please keep on adding more photos of the same, but make sure you turn it right, as you will endanger our necks!
-
This just taken, Mrs Klumper, the Pagoda in France:
Renversant !
-
Renversant !
car... renversée ;D
-
another one for the week....
looks like ladies like this kind of laid back attitude towards Pagodas...
-
Perhaps this is the time to ask whether the 113 is a.......
......girls car?
(Taxi...!)
-
Ok. I'll throw one in. Can't remember where I saw this. Who cares.
-
Wallace, You missed to list the part number ;D
-
8 airbags. Who knew air bags could be so fun? Pretty racy ad.
-
Wallace, You missed to list the part number ;D
R-D:
This wasn't an original mount, but a dealer option. The producer of this part is Silicon Bumpers Inc... ;D
Wallace:
Racy? Think maternity, care, warm touch etc. Any sexy or racy rapport should be proscribed. As they say in the UK: "No sex please, we are British!"
-
Rather Silicon Airbags Inc...
;D
-
Rather Silicon Airbags Inc... ;D
Artur
In fact there are plenty of suppliers of such assets. Just open your eyes and look around. So both sources are certainly correct :D. Obviously there must be a premium for original and never used assets rather than second hand, although I also agree with what says the add about the used Aston Martins posted recently by Neil.
-
Stan, I just have to get those "Airbags" for my DD ;D
Today's contribution .... Found her she claims it's her MINK
-
OK guys, just saw "Shampoo" at 6am this morning on TCM from 1975? with Warren Beatty, Goldie Hawn, and Julie Christie. Julie Christie drives a W113 (white with black top) and there is a scene with her with a bob haircut walking out of her garage from the Pagoda. I wish I had a poster of that still.......
Mike
-
Mike,
nice, but still couldn't find a Pagoda on the pic, despite trying hard :D
-
Mike,
Nice image of Goldie Hawn (one of my favourite actresses), I looked it up and found four photos of the 230 SL so we may keep the tread on thopic :)
Photo 1 to 4 .... One she is thinking about leaving in the garage, two driving out, three making a stop at the stop sign and four taking 5 on the beach ...
Stan, sorry she is not showing a frontal view (none that I can find) then Mike took care of that very nicely I think :) Have to check the TCM schedule when they play it again, the movie did win an Academy Award or two as I recall.
-
This one is from the Movie "Kriminals" (Criminals )
-
This time I can see, although quite hardly, that there is ALSO a Pagoda on these pictures ;D
I noticed that the car featured in this film is an Italian version of Pagoda. Color is close to my car.
-
OK a new week has cometh...
So time for new challenges in this way off topic chapter.
But this time something for our dear Ladies ;D
Here is the background story:
Kamil Stoch is more known as a Polish top ski jumping sportsman. In the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi he won two gold medals, being able to come away in first-place in ski jumping large and normal hills competitions. At this point he also leads the world 2014 championship classification. He is also a serious Mercedes cars' amateur, driving a GLK.
But here you can see a special session with a....Pagoda off course
-
OK OK... I already got two PM telling me to get back on the right track.
Fine boys, I won't let you get in dismal mood.
Remember Anna Mucha, a Polish actress in one for our Pagodas session last year? No? Really not? :D
Ok here is the tip:
http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=19096.msg134045#msg134045
Here our Polish Mercedes star strikes again. This time, different style, different class: she honours Pagoda's noble predecessor: the 300SL model.
Ready? Go!!!!
-
What about my girlfriend ;) James?
I guess she would look nice on April.
greets,
Erik
-
and don't forget the Mercedes girl !
Erik
-
Flyair,
If you invite Anna Mucha to your next event in Poland, AND advertise that fact, then I'm sure you'll find people covering great distances in order to attend.
As an afterthought, if you invite Kamil Stoch, my wife might even want to come along...
Peter
-
Erik
Sadly impossible to take such a photo with our Pagoda since it hasn't this sign on the front

Peter.
Your leadership is evident at every occasion such as pointing out easy goals to achieve. Now I feel challenged!.
However, in 2015 we may surprise you ... And your wife too ;)
-
Stan, how can Kamil Stoch relax, with the dash pad looking a bit off where it meets the window next to the air vent. Can't find anything wrong with the Anna pictures.
-
Kamil is certainly able to relax in any position, knowing that Anna is waiting for him.
However, would that be my Pagoda, gold medalist or actress, I wouldn't care, but would chase them away if they were putting shoes on my shiny chromes :D
As for Anna's pictures, nothing wrong indeed, except maybe that for this thread she is way too much... dressed up IUSWIM ;D
-
Gentlemen,
(I don't think there are many ladies reading this thread)… I think it is perhaps time to return the "Way Off Topic" topic back to just being off-topic. I know that I have participated and added fuel to the fire by pointing out this thread in a mailing, but I was recently reminded that one of the rules we have on this forum (as listed here: http://www.sl113.org/terms-of-use.html) is not to post obscene, profane, or sexually oriented material. We have these rules for a good reason.
Let's show restraint and keep it tasteful, also in the "Way Off Topic" section.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Peter

I think we have sufficient samples now to start planning on the 2015 and up calendars :)
Any Volunteers to take on the project?
-
Without words .... or is this image looking down at all them fine Pagoda's hmmmm
-
Peter,
From now on, I would expect that we stop referring to our Pagodas as "She" "Her" etc... This may be perceived offending and derogatory by women and even some men.
So a text that says "This Pagoda is beautiful. I like her a lot" should become: "This Pagoda is beautiful. I like him/her a lot"
BTW, I would expect that Garry tracks all the past posts and amends as appropriate.
Thank you
-
Stan,
My wife insists on it and 'her' blue Pagoda is called “Bella” :o
Garry
-
Garry,
I am totally devastated. Have your wife read our "gender-free" rules?
She should consider "Bello" instead...
-
Hi Rolf,
Do you still have a place on your calender for this Pagoda enthousiast?
Greetings,
Erik
-
Sorry Erick, I don't have the resources to put together a calendar. I purchase mine from the German Pagode site (without the ladies of course). I might create a special folder on my computer and switch here and then using the photos as a screen saver ~grin~
I will add another, that would be worty to join the other ladies and Pagoda's in this thread.
-
R-D
don't expect that the view of Pierre Brosnan and the lady would hide the fact that the hubcaps have been censored...what have you done to those unfortunate hubcaps? :D
-
Stan,
Since this photo was in an add add shoot I must assume the advertise company used photo shop to remove the star. Therefore the photo does not qualify for our intended calendar project. You do have sharp eyes then you are light years younger then yours truly :)
Sent on the run from my iPhone

it's not about eyes or age. One has to focus ALSO on cars... sometimes --- somehow ;D

Dave
after a thorough examination of this picture one may have noticed that there are several flaws: non-original radio, wrong rear mirror and different color of seats and other upholstery parts, just to mention a few ;D ;D ;D

I believe that photo was the avatar of member "Wolfmann" from a few years ago? And Stan, very observant:-)

Not necessarily to re-open this thread, but I found it quite funny...
hope you'll appreciate the performance...
-
Usually it's the other way around...
-
Came across it on Facebook and could not resist to share it ... :) or did some one already post it?

Despite looking very thoroughly at the picture I found nothing wrong with... the car ;D
-
I don't really think that she is a banjo player. Her hands look too soft.
-
just wondered which country the registration plate come from.... The car is a LHD, but this may not mean too much...

Those are Norwegian plates as they were used up until around 1971. Today you can still have them custom made for your historical vehicle.

One for the ladies? Don't assume so much! But I DO appreciate that out of 7 pages of posts there is one post with a hot guy in it. Let's see if I can add to the diversity of this HORRIBLY TASTELESS thread that OBJECTIFIES the human body !!!!
-
Scott,
I would rather assume some other things....:-)... errr.. let's say... since you are in California... you could have made a little effort and provide a selifie of the kind with a Pagoda rather that with a Mercedes ersatz derivative ;D
Besides.... what human body objectivisation? you REALLY got it all wrong... we are focusing on Pagoda here... :D
-

Thank you Hans, at least this way we know that they like banjos in Norway :)

If you are suggesting I model for my own beefcake selfie in my 250SL I will try to accommodate. First I'll have to acquire some beef and some cake...

Hans
English is not my native language; do you mean the girl is custom made in Norway if you have a historical vehicle? Only with Norwegian plates unto 1971? Where can I have such plates?
-
Rodolfo,
actually it is an old Norwegian tradition that every Pagoda visitor gets either a girl or a banjo... pick your choice and let us know ;D
-
Lets get back to basics ... here are two more I found ... ops the last fellow did not keep his eyes on the road ... I wonder why :)

I'm pretty sure that the second one is of a man in drag. No genetic woman would wear those shoes to the beach...

This one I would call...
Happiness in Pagoda

Well silly me. I mistook her for a really good drag queen.
-
Scoot,
Looking at Gisele's "assets" from THAT angle, such a mistake can easily happen ;D
-
One we may have missed :)
-
R-D
no way, nothing was missed... look at Artur's post of 31 Dec 2103.
Now, just wonder what Artur was busy with on a New Yera's Eve ??? ??? ???

I face a greater challenge in contributing to this thread.

Whose that guy in the middle? I didn't even have to pay them, the real thing, they just jumped in one day last summer.
-
That be Alex :) you got your door fixed I see ....
PS. bet you checked for dents afterwards ;)

R-D
You call those craters... dents ??? ;D
-
Not one dent or crater. With six gorgeous 26 year old girls jumping in the car, dents were the last thing on my mind. Had way too much fun that day.
-
Stan,
No dent's here I bet just good memories ... one for your desktop or not? ??? ;D I might put it on my dream car wall, looks like a 6.3 AMG ,,, nice car ... ;D
-
Ah Rolf.... those Russian girls....
-
Thank Heaven for pretty Girls and Pagoda"s ... what would we do without them :)
-
I'd like to find more pictures about this matter.........anyone interested? Please help me and attach other photos.
-
::)
Keep up, there...!
Actually, I find this sort of thing utterly debasing. It's a shocking abuse of their kind. Wholly wrong, and typical of a certain view point. As someone struggling to re-fit a newly re-chromed grille, no one should ever let the average lady sit on the body work, and especially not near the chrome! Waifs are ok though, it turns out. The fewer the clothes, the lower the all up weight and thus the less likely to cause lasting damage. So, on that basis, semi-clad models are about the limit.
Drive safe, folks.
PS - Rivalbfo, do a quick search for "certain picture" and almost everything will be revealed... .
-
Rivalbfo,
No need for help in this matter someone beat you to it long ago ;D
if you have not found it jet look hier -----> http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=19757.0
BTW you must have seen this photo on Facebook, since I also posted it at 8:48:41 this morning in the above thread with a slightly different caption then James :)
-
Sorry, you are right......and i beg your pardon; how can i be forgiven?
-
No problem my friend, or as they say in your part of the world .... "Forget about it" ... or something along this lines :)
-
very kind thank you!!
Bye
-
Whose that guy in the middle?
Guy in the middle? Perhaps the recently divorced AlexD? ;) :o
-
Found this one on the Mercedes Classic site Stan .... Simply could not resist to add it here :)
-
Hi Rolf,
for an unknown reason it seems that you targeted me as the demiurge of this thread, but let's forget James, the inception father ;D.
My reputation as one of those European chauvinistic pigs was already reported to me by some of the more subtle and gender sensitive members. So be it...
Coming back to your last post: my analysis is that we have here a late European model, although the upholstery seems a bit tired... ;)
-
Not targeting you at all Stan just sharing something I found. I know James was the founding father of this thread, my brain recalled your name first must have been that nice Centre Fold in PW ;D
-
Rolf,
I am sure that centre-fold part of PW is still closely contemplated by many ;D
and for various reasons, I bet...
-
From the gossip pages of the New York Post today.
Marc
-
I would call this pic "Rhapsody in Blue" ;)
Sadly, that person obscures the view of the beauty, but - to her discharge - I noticed that the top matches the paint almost perfectly ;D
-
I will call this one "After dinner a nice drive into the country" or simply call it "Moments to remember"
-
Rolf,
do you mean that such moments included a stormy weather with a top down Pagoda and scarcely dressed scared lady? :)
-
Rolf,
here is what should ring the bell of our young time years...
-
Stan, that looks like a 1968 (I may have looked at blondes with this hairstyle, after all I was already married 7 years at that time, you know what they say about the 7 year itch ;D). Anyway we are allowed to look as long as we don't touch ... I'm still married to the same fine Lady ... The years do fly by.
-
Rolf
Blond fräulein can be misleading ;D
I think that it is an earlier year, something around 1963 or 1964. I derive that from the turn indicators' shape that from 1965 were more square on edges. The chromed headlight rings prove that it is the De Luxe or S version. Moreover, the car in the background on the right side is a 600 Kombi (previous model with rounded edges), which points to the year 1963, the only year both models were together in production.
By the way, Trabant 601 was one of the cars with the longest production time (from 1963 to 1991) with 2,818,547 units built with basically the same body and very few refinements.
-
Not my cup of tea ... Then it's all in the eye of the beholder :)
-
Oh
This car has now disappeared from Spitalfields Market in London. No idea where to but the shop it was promoting is gone too
-
Here is a nice one also, shows you how much the ladies like our cars :)
Dieter
PS. I wonder what the plate "GEO" stands for ... might it be "Georgsmarienhütte" near my home town hmmm
