Mysterious cut wires in engine bay
« on: January 26, 2022, 16:35:00 »
Hi. I have a euro-spec (France) 1965 230sl that we imported in '83. While diagnosing some hard starts I noticed two cut wires in the engine bay. I've detailed the wires in the attached picture. Would someone please shed some light on these wires and if I should do anything about it. Car runs great other than hard starts. Thanks!!

Looks like the wires going to the injection pump start solenoid were removed or not connected. You should be able to re-attach them and this should help to cure your starting problem.
