Title: 1967 250sl for sale
Post by: apostolsl on January 28, 2019, 14:35:37
I am moving overseas and selling my 250sl automatic. It is show quality and within the last year has had a complete overhaul including new paint, tires, glass, rubber, wood, gas tank, exhaust, all chrome rechromed, etc. This 1967 beauty drives like a dream and has the third seat installed and luggage set in trunk. All decals and stickers are in place. The transmission was rebuilt last year. It has no rust as we went through entire car to remove any suspicions of rust before applying the most beautiful silver paint "glasurit" you have ever seen. It has the hardtop (new liner and seals) and soft top. The radio is a period original blaupunkt with the bluetooth modification. All matching original numbers and I have extensive documentation on the car since it was brought from Europe.. For full description and information visit www.yardleyfarms.com/1967MB250.htm
The asking price for this pristine show car is $105,000. It is located at my farm in Florida.

Recommend you blank out the key code numbers on the data card, items 17 and 18

Not many photos considering your asking price.

@apostolsl...the link to the "NADA guides" didn't work when I clicked on it. Also, W113's in 1967 were around $7,000 not $16,000 so you may just want to check that to be sure. The car looks terrific but as lowpad mentions, collector car buyers will be looking for a lot more photos including the engine bay, trunk and under carriage.  Many collector-type cars these days are sold via the "bring a trailer" site... they recommend about 100 or so pics. It may help you to check out some of their listings to see what buyers of other cars are seeing in on-line ads.

GLWTS!

Nice looking car!  Second the "Bring-a-Trailer" recommendation.  Also, at this price point, you may want to look into finding the correct wheel trim rings.  GLWTS!

I have a 230SL with the original Blaupunkt radio.  You mentioned that your car has a Bluetooth modification.  Do you know what was necessary for this modification? Thanks.

klc1967230sl, Have a look on the link below to determine if your Blaupunkt is new enough to accept an input adaptor.
http://www.vintageblau.com/installation-.html

Then find a suitable adaptor such as this. https://www.ebay.com/i/303023448428

You can also go the non bluetooth route and just use the headphone jack (or ligntning port adaptor) on your phone with a simple adaptor.
