5 speed trans on German Ebay?
« on: August 27, 2012, 05:34:35 »
Not having a specific interest in the elusive 5 speed, I have not followed the various posts of a phantom transmission very closely. On the odd chance that this is not it, I post the link for a 5 speed on German Ebay.

It is not the correct 5 speed as it has side linkages not top as needed.

Here is a photo of one that is correct.

Agree with Garry. This may be the 5 Speed Getrag unit that was fitted to some of the larger MB sedans. It certainly is not the ZF 5 Speed (S5-20)

This is the same (or similar) Getrag that is installed in my 107 chassis 280sl.

That trans on eBay is a side shift and won't fit in a Pagode without tunnnel midification. But it will bolt on the engine.

This is just like the one I have in my 1970 w111 coupe and will not fit w113 gear assembly.
