Hi group! It's probably been many years since my last post, but thought I'd share a video that I made about Pagodas on YouTube. I figured I had all these photos from the many 113's I've had over the years, why not put together a buyer's guide so people know what to look for when buying one?

A well done video. Looking forward to Part 2.

While it was mentioned about the reduced chrome finish during the 250 SL transition, the windshield header and interior A piller chrome elimination were not mentioned. Maybe that's coming in part 2.
Nicely done.

Very well done! Looking forward to part2

Excellent
Thanks
-
Bob, excellent!! Part II please :)

Great video Bob.

awesome video.

Ditto to all the other glowing comments. This group is truly blessed with so many knowledgeable people willing to share their expertise. That rear mounted antenna “embellishment” is wild!
-
Good video Bob. It must have taken an awful long time to put that together.
There are some differences between US spec and Euro spec which perhaps you might want to mention so as not to have European buyers look for details that they won't find on European cars. The VIN tag is one example; they are always exclusively on the bulkhead in Euro cars.

Many thanks! Great job! I am looking for such guide for the 190SL or R107. The 190SL or R107 are still on my list, but I do not have any idea how to recognize a good 190SL one from a bad one?

I think the best thing for most people is simply to pay a specialist to do a PPI.
-
Took awhile, but I finally got done with Part Two! :)

Well done! Thank you for investing the time and effort to produce such a knowledge laden video.
-
Nice job on Part 2. And a nice little plug for the website.
-
Great job on the videos Bob! Is there any way we can post these to the technical manual on our site? There are so many posts from individuals that are looking to buy one and these would be a great resource for them in their purchase.

Bob,
Second the praise from other members. I especially appreciated the disambiguation around the fender notches, whose value as an indicator of fender originality has been overblown by BaT and others. You mention that your first car was a French market car. Did you keep the original taillamps with the amber backup lamps? Looks like they didn't make it to the final restoration. I have a French car and am trying to find an original lamp (already have found one). There are so-so repros out there, but would prefer an original.
Look forward to part 2.

When I got that car it only had one of the original tail lights with the amber backup lens. Had a hard time finding another, so replaced it with a US spec. I seem to recall selling the original on eBay.

Thankyou Bob for putting together those great videos and to Johan for up loading them to the Tech Manual.
Great to see members involved and helping all with their inputs.

For the Tech Manual, here's an updated link to the buyer's guide I posted on YouTube, the old link is no longer active.

I broke up the series into a 6 part playlist, from the previous 2 videos that were too long. Video quality was able to improve from SD to HD because of it.

Hello Bob
Nice video, that’s really a pity that I have already purchased and restored my Pagoda. But we should recommend this material to all interested people.
Best wishes and many thanks!

Thanks, Bob. Updated the Tech Manual with the new link.

Bob, beautiful video series. Thanks for creating it and sharing it. Learned quite a bit as well.
-
Thanks very much! I think the information will be easier to digest in smaller sections, and without ads popping up during.
-
Just watched it - very nicely done! Much appreciated.

Cascadia,
Great series. For this thread, you should probably edit the first post which contains a dead link. I had to scroll through the whole thread to see that there has been an update.
Thanks,
Jim

Good catch, Jim! The original link has been updated, thanks.

Very well done!
