Garry,

Here you go.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-W113-W111-ZF-5-SPEED-TRANSMISSION-/170798500468?_trksid=m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6853966182832729625

Did your new ZF box arrive yet? I was able to get a new part for mine from ZF. Looks like it may be from the new production run for the replica.

Thanks George,

Have not seen that one before but would be weary with out looking at the actual item as the seller has a ZERO rating.

Have not got my gearbox yet nor anything heard from ZF at this point.

At the rate its going I will sell the car before I get the gear box!!!!

Garry,

Will be interesting to see what this box does go for and if it gets delivered! It took me quite a bit of effort to get ZF to respond to anything I sent. I finally got the response I needed from one of their offices here in the US and was able to order and receive the part I needed, but it was exhausting trying to get it. Hope you do gte it soon. Will be interesting to see how the new ones stack up against the originals. My guess is with all the new manufacturing technologies the tolerances will be better and they will be a smoother running box.

Is this the same one that keeps showing up from time to time?

Same unit !  Same defect noted within the listing.

"The only physical flaw with respect to the transmission is the fact that where the speedo cable is attached to the casing there is a small amount of the aluminum housing broken off and missing."

It's been marketed in Ca. & then it began showing up in the Uk. and has resurfaced there over & over ever since . Those interested in it should be very careful . I'd even suggest to stay away from it at this point....  ::)

Louis,

I thought it might be the same one. I have no interest since I already have one. Just wanted to call it to everyone's attention. Interesting that the defect called out is exactly the same as on mine. Fortunately with the production of the S5-20 replica I was able to get a new rear transmission cover plate where this defect is from ZF.
