Years ago I traded fixing a Citroen SM Hydropneumatic Suspension for a trash can full of old Mercedes tools. I gave most to a friend but kept a few I needed for my restoration. So I am putting my front suspension together and I got out of sequence. I couldn’t get the bolt into the cross strut and had to pull the tie rod. I went to grab my tie rod end puller and realized I actually had the factory Mercedes tool from 50 years ago.
It’s not everyday you get to work on. 50 year old car using the exact tool for the job.
