Strap for rear axle brake line.
« on: January 05, 2011, 08:28:40 »
I'm going to be replacing the steel brake line which is strapped to the right rear axle. I don't want to use a hose clamp as this is not correct. Does anyone know if these steel straps are still available?

If it is the one with the cotter key looking strap I think they are still available.  I have seen them on eBay occasionally.  The kits had various sizes and were about $75 the last time I saw them.  It looked like enough to do a complete car.

Thanks.  I think I found it at the local dealership.  You have to buy a length of strap and then the clamp part.  I'll confirm tomorrow when I pick it up.

Thanks, that was very informative.  I think I ordered the correct parts from the dealer today.  The moment of truth will be tomorrow.  I may be going overboard here for a non - show car but I just feel bad using the incorrect hose clamps.
