PagodaFest Chicago 2023 Eventbrite Page is Live Now!
PagodaFest will be held September 28 through October 1, 2023 in Oak Brook, IL (a suburb of Chicago) on the Beautiful 80 acre campus of the prior McDonald's World Headquarters, and Hamburger University. The events are held on Friday the 29th, and Saturday the 30th. The campus is secure for our Pagodas and the Hyatt Lodge Hotel is right on the Campus.
It is important to note that due to IRS Rule 501 non-profit rules, only paid members can attend, and we have limited attendees to the first 125 people (including spouses and guests). There will be a waiting list, as in past years. We have arranged for special rates for the Hotel for select nights, but reservations need to be made soon, as the Hotel is a popular Wedding venue and we would prefer if all of our precious cars are on the campus, rather than alone overnight at a Suburban Shopping mall nearby.

The Link to make Hotel reservations is on the page as well. Hotel reservations can be Cancelled, but require a credit card at time of booking to hold the room. We got a great deal on Friday and Saturday Night, but rates may be higher on Thursday night when out-of-towners are expected to arrive. Certainly less than rates in the big City Hotels.

ANY OTHER NIGHTS NEED TO BE BOOKED SEPARATELY ON THE HYATT WEBSITE AT A HIGHER RATE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF ROOMS AVAILABLE AT THE LOWER RATE FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT. THURSDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT ARE LIMITED AVAILABILITY FOR THE LOWER RATE. ONCE THEY ARE GONE THE BOOKING MAY SAY THE DATES ARE UNAVAILABLE. WE WILL TRY TO GET MORE ROOMS AT THE LOWER RATE FROM THE EVENTS PEOPLE AT THE HOTEL.

We'll have more details as they become available, but please buy your tickets as soon as possible and book the Hotel Rooms. Because of the proximity of Chicago to much of the Midwest USA, we expect this event to be fully subscribed.

The COVID Pandemic delayed our get-together, but now we are looking forward to this long overdue event.

Mark, we have met before (at PUB and Dan's) and look forward to reconnecting in Chicago hopefully. I too got my Pagoda in 2009 and have been to two Pub's (great time Joe) and been to Dan's twice (also great trips and maybe again this year(?)). Missed Virginia on account of a Pinot harvest but that won't happen again.

URGENT: FINAL NOTICE
PAGODAFEST has room for another 40 members. THE HOTEL AND CAMPUS with Secure parking are close to selling out. We chose this location because it was important to have an isolated campus where our Pagodas would be safe. It is therefore important that if you plan to come to PagodaFest this September, that you register and secure a hotel room at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook immediately.
Our committee is also setting events and meals in which we need attendee counts for. With four months to go, the time is now to complete the registration process.
Announcing PagodaFest Chicago to be held on the beautiful wooded campus of the former McDonalds World HQ! We are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Pagoda W113 introduction.
Full Members of The Pagoda SL Group (SL113.org) are invited to make reservations now for Thursday night, September 28, Departing on Sunday morning, October 1, 2023. Attendance is limited to the first 125 people. We expect 50 Pagodas and lots of informational presentations, great camaraderie, and merriment. The events will be almost exclusively on the campus as is the hotel with safe parking. We have secured a block of rooms at the hotel discounted by $50 per night. We are planning an off-campus drive and Saturday dinner at a local restaurant. Tickets for the event include meals and events for Friday and Saturday at a cost of $435 per person. The preliminary agenda is on the reservation page, with a map of the venue.

Attending for our 1st time to Pagodfest in Chicago from the UK.

Wish me luck. My Pagoda is down but I'm still hoping to drive it to the event. A valve adjuster stand on my cylinder head has worked loose and stripped the threads. I can't do that myself but I've found a guy who'll take it into his shop next Monday. I have a bare head that is at a specialist being evaluated. Fingers crossed It all goes well. I'm looking forward to re-connecting with folks and meeting a new crowd.

we can handle about 120 or so. I think we'll be at about 90 or so, unless we get swamped at the last minute.
