W108 seats
« on: November 06, 2017, 14:14:32 »
I know this may be sacriligious to most people on this board but do W108 seats fit a W113 also?

If they do fit, does anyone have a picture of a w108 seat in a W113?

No, they are much bigger and I don’t think so.

The 108 seats are indeed much larger and clumsier.  If you are looking to change. look into a W126 coupe seat.  I think it would fit, they are usually leather and more available in good shape in junkyards.  Don't toss the 113 seats in any event.  Jon

My fathers car is missing seats. A local seller was pushing these as a cheaper easier to find option but I don'tthink it is worth it. Thanks Guys

There are two different seats for a W113 Mercedes.  The early seat has a narrower more square bottom cushion than the later one.  They may be the same frame with different padding I am not sure.  I am also not sure when the switch was made I just thought i would bring it up.  If you are going to spend the money on seats you might as well find the right ones.  you can plan on spending about $2,000 USD on recovering a pair with new pads so needless to say nicer seats with decent leather would be a find.

Dont forget you need  seats from a 2 door-car , because you want your  backseat to fold down to access the rear space.

Many moons ago there was a member here who had pics up of his Pagoda with W202 (C class) seats. They looked great and I can attest to the comfort of a C class seat

Aha, found the thread about the car

Pics of the seats are on Flickr (yahoo)

I think I have located some original seats along with the soft top frame and hardtop I also needed.

Thank you all for the responses.
