Title: 280sl dash panels fit in 230sl?

good moring all,
I purchased a 1967 230SL with out dash panels
and I own a set of 280SL dash panels.
has anyone ever used 280sl panels on a 230sl?

have you tried?
I phoned SL-tech, he said they will fit, but I will have to drill new holes
