Fuel pump cable protection tube

Hello All,

For any of you who are planning a complete repaint or are just looking to repair/replace perished rubbers, I was hunting the internet for the rubber tube/grommet that goes through the rear crossmember for the fuel pump wiring to pass through.

I came up with the following numbers :-

A0009972181/A112546085/1085460185

Niemoller list the 112 number as NLA and SLS have the 108 number for about £40 (ouch when you live in Australia)

I thought outside the box and decided to see if the convertible box drain tube (1137790078) will fit and surprisingly it does. Of course it needs to be cut shorter under the car, but at less than half the price, I’m fairly certain I’m capable of that. It’s not exactly the same shape, but for something that’s hidden, it’s a cheaper option.

I’ve attached some pics so you know what I’m talking about, ignore the paint, I removed the remnants of the bitumen square that holds the loom down and need to clean it up and paint it.

Hope this helps

This is helpful, I remember I was looking for this solution too.

Since A 113 779 00 78 is not available and if you want to have MB original parts, A 107 779 00 78 works as well (same part for 107 cars), $20-25.
