The Three Castles Trial Wales
« on: June 28, 2007, 07:22:56 »
Just thought I would post some photos from the recent Three Castles Trial we just competed in.
Over 1500 miles and did not miss a beat! :)
Incredible for a 40 year old car.

Mike yes we had some great weather which is amazing for North Wales. The event was 4 days with a day before and the day after going from the South East, where the car is stored, to the North(ish) West (Wales) not an easy thing to do on UK roads particularly as it was the end of the bank holiday week.
The car ran faultlessly and even more suprising is the fact that even after driving for 10 hours almost solid per day, I felt no effects, whereas if I did this in my wifes Z4 or even my co.car Audi I would have all sorts of back ache.
What a credit to our cars.
Hope your keeping well, the beer is cheaper in Istanbul than Seoul  ;) if you are ever over this way

Jonny, there were over 130 cars but we were the only Pagoda. There was another entered but they did not start for some reason.
The event was won by a 1932 Sumbeam 20HP I have never seen so much grunt[:p] going up the Ffestiniog hill climb. It was driven by the slightest of ladies an incredible feat, however she is the veteran of many historic events and one of the most successful drivers in her field.
