Can't help with your speedo problem, i'm sure someone will assist

As far as your fuel gauge no longer working, you had your instrument cluster 12 way connector open recently, perhaps you've lost your blue/black wire connection on pin 6, or the black/blue wire on pin 5, +ve from fuse 5, when you put it all back together

I appreciate your input I feel very vindicated now, as fuel does not stay in the injector lines longer than 24 hours but I cannot discover the smoking gun of where it is going. I have put dye in the gas tank looking for fuel in the oil section of the injection pump and saw no sign of dye. secondly, I have removed injectors and looked for leaks on a bench tester which also all 6 passed with flying colors I came to the same conclusion and agree the pump seems to be leaking back but can't find where or how. pump was also "rebuilt" recently.

Yes, looks like a typical US emissions control label.

Electrical and Instruments / Speedo Stuck?
« Last post by acbrock on Today at 19:52:06 »
Ok my self imposed suspension is over!  Been driving the car for 2 days.  Everything is working well but I lost my Speedo and my Fuel gage.  My odometer and trip are working.   So it is spinning.  I cannot see the pin the needle rests on. So I am thinking the needle just might be stuck?  Any tricks to get it to move?  I thought I read something somewhere but not finding it.

To me, looking at the photographs, the line seems to be coming from the bottom of the air intake throttle housing.

Some engines had a swap, where the vacuum line needs to be positioned after rather than before the butterfly flap - or something along those lines. If that was done on your car, it's possible there are two vacuum lines, an original one and an extra, newly installed one, and the one that is not needed was 'plugged' in this messy way. Just a guess.

Wanted To Buy / Adding parts to a car I'm selling- Hood ,Door
« Last post by RWELLS on Today at 19:47:12 »
I'm trying to sell a project car and it needs a few things to make it look a little more presentable. Depending on the price I may be able to add them to the car plus asking price for the car to get it sold without losing anything, so with that being said the list is below.

Workable hood ( not too bent or in good shape)
Front header panel
Left side door complete or a shell
Grill
Window for left side door
Window for left side hard top

Agree it sounds like a fuel delivery issue, speficially fuel 'leaking back' out of the lines. You say you checked the fuel pump (I assume you mean fuel injection pump) check valves, but are you sure they keep the lines pressurized with fuel to the injectors for days?

Those 180 degrees get us every time!

Glad to hear you got it to go, I am sure you will not regret having installed this upgrade.
